Life is Good....and so are the Browns!!!

Yesterday we had our first guests at the house in Charelston, SC. David and Janine Brown are able to be here this week for David's job which is so amazing. Tara is starting her residency on her hardest rotation and its such a blessing she has one of her best friends here to help ease the stress. The Brown's got to Charleston, SC earlier this week but were able to stay downtown Charleston for work. Now they get to stay with us. It was fun showing the house, you know, like on MTV cribs, except instead of an hour tour it was like two minutes. The I got to grill out which is one of my favorite things to do. I made kabobs with chicken that I seasoned and onions and green peppers, nothing fancy but the grill brings those ingredients together really good. Tara cooked up asparagus which is also really good. I ate my dinner with a local beer called Palmetto Amber which is really good as well. Then we went on a walk. There's a park about .25 miles from the house where a river flows through, a very small river, but river nonetheless. It goes through some woods to a park with soccer and baseball fields. The whole time we keep saying to the Browns we can't wait for them to move here. The reason we say this is because the Brown's work for a non-profit organization called NURU and they are about to embark on an amazing journey as they are going to Kenya for about 9 months I believe so we don't know when we will see them again and are truly blessed to be able to have this time with them. But we would love it if God wanted them to end up here in Charleston, SC with us at some point. We finished our walk and made it back to the house to sit out back on the screened in patio and just chatted awhile before finishing off the night with some ice cream! I do love the Brown's and cherish every moment we get to share together and I know Tara does too...we are amazed at the courage and strength they have to be able to take this amazing adventure to go to Kenya but they will be missed and we pray for a safe and fruitful trip for them. Tara and I also pray they move here when they come back:-) So the moral of this story is life is good....and so are the Browns!!!
